Yes, a good find hotdog that supports my long-held belief:
"...when the cooking cycle is finished, the operator removes the pot and dumps the chicken and the shortening onto the Speed Table rack. The shortening drains into the Baffle Tank where cracklings settle out and cleaned shortening overflows into the No. 1 Frymaster."

I went back and read all of these posts. Sometimes you get ideas you missed the first time. I remember working at Liberty Glass in 1977 when the dreaded OSHA finally hit the factory. What a clusterf _ _ K. I can see during the mid 1970s how OSHA probably forced changes at KFC. I would venture to say that this is partly the reason so much changed at KFC. If I follow instructions from now on, it will be processes carried out prior to 1975. Just my two cents worth. Might be beneficial to research OSHA's interactions with KFCs.
