I went to Aldi tonight, and got some of this chicken. It's not the world's best fried chicken, but for something frozen, its pretty good! Will list the ingredients later, as they weren't listed on the Aldi webpage

I will look for this the next time I visit Aldi... usually southern fried chicken consists of flour (seasoned with salt and black pepper), whisked egg dip and breadcrumbs.
FEBEB ... flour/egg/breadcrumbs/egg/breadcrumbs ... Is the 'double dip' method sometimes used to coat the chicken before frying. Often the chicken is marinated overnight in a variety of things including buttermilk.
My wife uses a slightly 'similar method' for homemade fish goujons, instead of normal batter.

Thankfully, this chicken didn't have egg in it!
But, after eating it, I'm not its hugest fan. The breading was really good, but the texture of the chicken threw me off. You should try it!
I like the country fried steak from Aldi much better than the chicken, but . . . I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to food!
