I've recently purchased a chicken bucket pressure fryer from e-bay and it's working the way it should, but I thought I'd see about having a new gasket on-hand just in case. The only google search hit I got was one on Ebay. Anyone know where else I could look?

Mike,
The gasket is important and you do need to make sure it does not release too much steam around it, as your chicken will become heavily oil-laden during the cooking process.
I have seen it with those particular fryers which I think are only 5lb or 8lb pressure and if not sealed it has the same effect of just putting a lid on the fryer... it may also reduce the browning process,
A bit of oil smeared around the seal can help keep the steam from escaping.
Original unused gaskets are quite difficult to find, but they do pop up on eBay occasionally, as do the lids themselves etc. The original ones have the wear-ever trade mark stamp on the seal itself ... you should see it on your own if you take a closer look (assuming it's an original seal).
There are also a few 'third party' made gaskets that may fit them and I have seen them on Amazon aswell as eBay in the past. Try 'presto' as a brand name I think they make ones that are the same size.
If I come across one at any point in the near future, I will message you the details.

Mike,
There are two versions of the Wear-Ever chicken fryer. The older one has a knob on the top to secure the lid (it's all bright aluminum). The newer version is more like a modern pressure cooker with a lid that twists on (it's painted brown with a yellow lid. I don't recall if they both use the same gasket, so make sure it's the right one if you find one for sale.
I have the manual for the older model, but it's too large to post (3.4mb). PM me if you would like a copy via email.

Thank you both for replying. I think I have the older type, the Ebay listing is "Wear Ever 6 Qt Chicken Bucket Low Pressure Fryer Cooker # 90026". It's all silver except for a black knob on top. Fortunately,it came with the instruction booklet, I also found an electronic version of it too.
