What about "Schinus terebinthifolius" it's known as red pepper in my country too (too many things with the red pepper name).
It's a semi-sweet dry bay, spice but less as black pepper. It comes from south America.
It's in the queue to be tested.
Do you know the english name? Has somebody tried it?
