Vanillin is what makes Vanilla taste as it does

Eugenol is what makes Clove taste as it does

I suspect that the term "Zinging" specifically refers to boosting the presence of Zingerone via adding extra Ginger

How much is one of my objectives. My wife made cabbage rolls using my ginger, and no cinnamon. It took me several years, and multiple requests, to find her recipe, which I did a few months ago. I read a guy's statement on some blog years ago lamenting how he missed the "gingery goodness" of the old KFC.
