Now, heres a video I've not seen before: It's a biography of CHS and shows some interesting archival footage of the cooking process and his first pressure cooker(s). Taken in together with the comments here: kfc11.proboards.com/post/2778/threadand the pictures above, we get a more rounded picture of CHS's early development work on creating a suitable Pressure Fryer for his cooking process.

Here's a video of CHS working the pots.
CHS was pretty cavalier about how he handles his early Miromatics, and we know they were rolled out in early KFC Franchises. Further, we are told by all and sundry that "Pressure Frying" in a "modern" pressure cooker is dangerous. 1) Does anyone know of any claims against CHS for reckless endangerment of franchisee staff by instructing staff in the use of pressure cookers to fry chicken? 2) Does anyone have any statistics related to injuries, and type of injuries, directly attributed to using pressure cookers to fry chicken? 3) Does anyone have Occupational, Health and Safety regulations relating to the use of pressure cookers to fry chicken?

In the U.S, there are no significant cases of liability relating to the use of a pressure fryer. It is generally a myth dreamed up as "potential liability" by a corporate lawyers. I challenge anyone to find me a real case or lawsuit. I don't doubt, however, that there may have been claims, as there are against the misuse of many products out on the marketplace, but corporate lawyers are always anxious to prematurely "settle" cases rather than fight them.
