Just For The Record. Some of the recipes have been hailed as being in the, " Golden Area." Whatever that means. I guess meaning being, " Close, but no cigar." If you are NEW to the search for a KFC OR Recipe, and were not born in the time of the Great Chicken Uprising, like me, then I recommend you develop your palate by seeking out and trying the following recipes. Now, a word of caution. There is no guarantee that any of these recipes are, "the one" despite claims and protestations to the veracity of such, but the originators, but all of them do make tasty chicken. Alphabetical Order Only. - BeckInOz
- Colonelben
- DenisTheMenace
- F-16 (smallgree)
- Jbishop
- KGDP-220/2016
- KG-74
- Kid Kenievel 2.0
- Lumpy 2.2
- Manny
- MickeyD
- The Colonel TCK34D
- Pamela
- YL0014-22FV (Yves)
Some of these recipes are recently controversial, or at least the sharing of them have become so, thus not all of them are in the archive. Perhaps an honourable mention should also go out to BruceB's last recipe, BB15-0014f (http://bruceb.myfunforum.org/ftopic71-0-asc-120.php)

I thing 'Golden Area' could be a typo .. perhaps it should have been 'Golden Arena'? ... that's my guess.

Thanks Ken, perhaps it is a typo, I wouldn't know. I was quoting someone else, who was quoting someone else: Chuckr wrote> " In case someone wants a "feel" of where these recipes fit, time-wise, chronologically, I threw this together.
One can get a sense of which Spice/Herb was popular, fell out of favor, new discoveries made, etc. Smile
I've made an attempt to highlight those individuals that strongly feel their recipe is in the " Golden Area". This is a term coined by member 'DennisTheMenace", indicating 'very close' (to their taste-buds) to where we're trying to get to." source: web.archive.org/web/20160530094051/http://kfc.forumup.co.uk:80/about423-kfc.htmlCheers.

I can't believe I have found all these recipes again. I was a member of TCK about 10 years ago when it was very active, but then things got a little heated between members and it seemed to stagnate for a little bit. I had moved twice after that and I was so incredibly busy I had no time to really do much of anything that pertained to either a hobby or personal interest. Although I would occasionally find myself really wanting to get back into reading the posts and find any recent developments.
To my dismay, the forum had disappeared when I finally had time to check things out again. Recently I decided to sit down and do a thorough search to somehow find the site and luckily I found you all here. You have no idea the joy I felt when I saw you had the main recipes. I had downloaded a number of them when they were posted on the TCK site, and will look for any you do not already have and forward them to all here.

Hi radioman (Steve),
A warm welcome to the kfc11 forum. It is great to see a past TCK member come aboard.
It was forum member ThePieMan who suggested that we try to keep the old O.R. recipes afloat, as they do reflect the past hard work by many recipe researchers as far back as a decade (or more) ago and so it seemed fitting to keep those memories going and put them here, all in one place ... something we tend to refer to as the 'Hall of Fame' recipes.
It would be great if you do have any other old recipes to add to the list. It appears we may have lost a good many things over the years as the different forums have now closed down... the loss of the TCK forum was particularly a huge loss of research material for all of us.
Anyhow this 'splinter' forum is continuing and has a few of the old TCK members here and it’s nice to see you back amongst us once again.
I hope you enjoy your membership here and find what you are looking for. There is also plenty of new material, so if you get time maybe have a read through some of the more recent threads and see what is happening these days.
If you need any other information, or have any questions, then please let us know by posting in the available forum areas, or speak to any member via the internal messaging system or you can also email me at kfc11@mail.com.
Kind Regards...
Ken
P.S. Note: if you bookmark any thread you will receive an email notification whenever that thread is updated.

Thank You for the welcome, it is greatly appreciated.
My USB drives are packed along with my RWCD backups. I am fairly sure the old recipes are on the RWCD's, which I will want to transfer over to the USB Drives. I will be making this a priority because I don't want to lose them again. By having you add them to the site, they should live on a bit longer for others to enjoy.
Looking through the recipes you have posted, many are quite familiar which I know I already have. Once I am moved and have a chance to catch my breath, you should be seeing more of me here.

Ok Steve, there’s no rush for these things. Get settled in and then we will see you around.
Hope you enjoy the forum and that it helps to get you back in touch with old some friends from the past too.
See you soon.

In reading through the threads here, you refer to a recipe that is linked, but the link seems to be parked and not active, so the recipe is not able to be found or viewed. The quote is:
"Some of these recipes are recently controversial, or at least the sharing of them have become so, thus not all of them are in the archive. Perhaps an honourable mention should also go out to BruceB's last recipe, BB15-0014f (http://bruceb.myfunforum.org/ftopic71-0-asc-120.php)"
That post is found at the top of this current page. My question is if there is a copy of that recipe on this board somewhere? A search turned up nothing - at least the way I did it anyway.

Hi Radioman, welcome aboard! I have this version from my archives.. mpmn04 bruceb.myfunforum.org/about71.html&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=coating&start=120 Posted: Fri Oct 30, 2015 5:40 pm OK I did another trial today of BB15-0014 and we will call it BB15-0014f This is actually BB15-0014 with adjustments 1. Sage 1 teaspoon 2. Pepper, ( white and black) White Pepper 1 and 1/4 teaspoon Tellicherry pepper 3/4 teaspoon 3. Regular paprika 3/4 teaspoon 4. Coriander 1/2 teaspoon 5. Nutmeg 3/8 teaspoon 6. Savory 1/8 teaspoon 7. Rosemary 1/8 teaspoon 8. Dill weed 1/8 teaspoon 9. Allspice 1/8 teaspoon 10. Thyme 1/8 teaspoon 11. Marjoram 1/8 teaspoon 12. Jamaican Ginger 1/2 teaspoon 1 cup King Arthur unbleached bread flour 1 teaspoon MSG 1 teaspoon sugar in the raw powdered 2 and 1/2 teaspoons flaked salt 1/16 teaspoon garlic powder 1/8 teaspoon baking soda (leave out ?) 1 tablespoon corn meal 1 teaspoon non-fat dry milk Sage was reduce a little, Ginger was increased to 1/2 teaspoon. Everything was ground to powder and melded two days before adding to the flour. Results: The fine KFC flavor returned. So either sugar and/or milk powder is a necessary additive. I used 1/2 teaspoon of fine Jamaican ginger the Yves was kind enough to send me a while back. My opinion is this amount of ginger did in fact improve the flavor. I could tell ginger was in recipe, only because I knew it. It did taste better. However 1/2 teaspoon is the max in my opinion. I don't want the chicken tasting like a ginger snap. Overall a very fine old KFC flavor. BruceB

Thank You mpmn04, that looks like a good one to try out when I get a new pressure cooker. I think mine is on it's last days and will toss it before the move.
This time I am leaning toward a multi-purpose unit, anybody have a good one to recommend? I see a lot of them but have not been in the market for one in quite a while and tend not to trust the glowing reviews given the fact many are paid shill reviews and/or are from people who know nothing about what a pressure cooker is supposed to really do. If one works for them, they give it 5 stars and highly recommend it, which gives a false positive in my book.
I have time to search and don't want to get a poorly made one.

Radioman .. This isn’t a bad fryer. I got this off Amazon last year for less than £70 (about $95) with free shipping to the UK... I’m not saying that you will find it at that 'special introductory offer' price, but it is quite a decent fryer for its price... good value, if you can get your hands on one. Attachment DeletedClick to enlarge image It’s a magefesa Inoxtar bomb 8 litre. The model is available in a variety of different capacities... fagor make a similar/identical product, but it tends to be slightly more costly for some reason.

I will have to look into that one for availability. Cookware is one thing I will not buy used..... well, that and underwear.
Going through my computer, I found "Kid Knievel 3.0". I see you have 2.0 and would like to know where I can post it so you may add it to the database.

Radioman,
If you want to gather a 'few' recipes together first and then send them onto me later on, then I will sort them ... either PM or email will do.
Thanks

I can do that too if that is better. I just don't know how many I have or when I will find the others. I came across this today and know where it is at the moment.
I suppose I could put them all in Word Pad and just cut n' paste in an email at a future date.
